I am more than ready to go beyond a laptop. I really want a small wireless PC that clips to my belt with an unobtrusive eyeglass display unit with voice activation to control many features. Long battery life and adequate light weight memory, e.g. 20 gigabyte. It should be able to dock into a laptop when I'm at home or in my office.

More screens without the "movie-viewing-format". Some of us are still working :-)

Where did all laptops and LCD's go with 1600:1200 ratio??

Instead of making computers for techno's and geeks, there is a fortune to be made by any company who will make a computer easy to use by anyone, rather than filling the ever increasing capacity with technology that the average person will never need or use.

Your points are right. The only thing i ll change is the mouse blue tooth support. I think i can live without a mouse since it has a touch screen so i would like it to be as cooler as it gets. There were many times i wanted to use my laptop on my couch or during a trip and the fact that my legs would be on fire after awhile prevent me from doing it.

Instant-on boot with a light version of Linux or even with Windows Mobile would be really nice!

Remington: "I really don't understand why some peoples think that "touch screen" is a good idea. I prefer to take my note on a laptop instead of paper ESPECIALLY because it is really hard to write as fast with a pen than a keyboard." I agree that typing is faster, but when you think about these notebooks where you can rotate the top part (the screen) 180 degrees and thus have a simple tablet, it is something to think about contrated to, during a lecture at a trade show, having to keep the notebook opened on your lap.

Patrick: "I don’t know why Notebooks are such ugly." you are right. I will be covering this on a future blog entry. Stay tuned!

im in the desktop replacement group, battery life should be just enough to walk from 1 power outlet to the other.
-Desktop CPU, and if possible GPU
-minimum of 1920x1200 pix0lz
-bigger=better (especially true for the coolers)

already posted it as a dream - http://www.wepc.com/vote/view/dream/1305/Portable_Desktop_Gamingsystem_workstation

I don’t know why Notebooks are such ugly. In my opinion luxury notebooks should looks good at first, do not have holes, something like Apple notebooks. Second is specification, because some persons need long life battery other performance… so is quite individual case.
