I don't think I'd buy a gaming netbook, if for no other reason than screen size. If you could get a gaming class laptop with a 15" widescreen display under $500, I'd totally consider it.
I am not primarily a PC gamer by any means. But, since I am in the market for a netbook, if they could make a gaming netbook and be reasonably priced, I will buy it.
I want a netbook for its compact design, and internet and whatnot on the go. But, if I can have that gaming option, I would be happy. I constantly play Ragnarok Online and various Valve games, so if I can do Left 4 Dead anywhere, or grind in Ragnarok, this "gaming netbook" will definitely grab my attention (and purchase)
Yes, gaming pcs are not exactly affordable and gaming laptops are enormous and heavy, so if there was a cheap, portable alternative that could run games decently it would be great.
While the goal of a cheaper gaming notebook is admirable, why would you even want to game on something the size of a netbook?
Monitor size, storage space, gaming peripherals... I just can't call a rig that sacrifices so much just to be portable a worthy endeavor, even if it is cheap.

It wouldn't interest me. I want/need a bigger screen, and that's not even for gaming, it's for anything.

No, not for me. I'm a console gamer and I'm very happy as such. I never did get into gaming on the PC.
My wife, however, might buy one. She likes small gadget-y things and if a friend show her theirs and it was pretty cool, you might have a sale...
I would definitely consider it if the screen was just a bit bigger than the ASUS one.
No way,I have a NETBOOK and it is quite slow when going on the web for video. No way
