Thanks for the good advice! I was intimidated for months about starting my own personal food blog. I finally did it! Love it! Not great at it! Always learning. Your advice about moving from a blog spot to a domain. Great advice! I have heard my friends and family tell me how difficult is to comment at times. I will keep that bit of advice for the future.

Love your photos.

About photos -- yep, I like them. But, Please, don't go on vacation and show me 187 pics of the ocean or don't show me 459 pics of a flower outside in your garden. For the love of Pete, NO more macros of flowers !

Ditto about all the anti-music comments. (But I do LOVE music...but my kind of music.)

Always looking for a good voice, and there are so so many out there. It's wonderful. At the same time, some of my favs perhaps don't have a good voice, but they still have something to offer...if that makes ANY sense. A connection, I guess.

Like to learn new info and tips. Hey, that's how I learned about Magic Erasers -- woo-hoo!

Humor is a big plus for me, inspiring - oh yes.

About the cursing: It's a turn-off absolutely. And the most offensive for me personally is taking the Lord's name in vain.

WOW!!! Your 8 steps for a successful blog are great! Now you have truly inspired me to set up my own so the kids/grandkids, back in Southern California can see what adventures we've been experiencing with our new "Country Livin'". You are an inspiration to me...helps me to adjust to this totally new way of life. Thanks...keep those thrilling adventures coming...

I don't really like the smarty pants quiz that appears in the Homeschooling section. Could that be it's on section maybe? Personally, I would much rather read about your acutal home school adventures/techniques..
what you're teaching your kids and what they teach you, as well as, any resources you can suggest/offer. I don't have kids, but we hope to someday, and I'm really considering homeschooling them now...years down the road. Never in a million years would I have even considered such a thing, but I've learned so much from you, your contributors and everyone else's two cents.

I enjoy your photos/stories and allowing us to get a taste of the ranch. Thanks for keepin' it real.

I enjoy reading blogs of people who make me feel like I'm their best friend, or that they are letting me in on the inside scoop of their daily lives. (even though I know that I'm not and they're not...)

Hi, my name is Ali, and I'm a blog junkie! There I said it and I am not ashamed. Your blog Ree, was the first blog I got hooked on and from there it has just snow-balled. I like these blog classes, keep 'em comin. My friend and I are Foodies and we started a food blog about a month ago. I am a self-taught photographer and so we use our cooking talents combined with what I 'think' I know about photography and we made a blog. We have several, okay a ridiculous amount of blogs that we follow and all of them are for different reasons -- just like you mentioned. We like to pick out what keeps our attention and what we would never do. Entertainment and captive visual aides are what keep me coming back again and again.

This is great...thanks so much for doing this little college for me. My very savvy daughter "turned me on" to your blog, Ree, and I have had so much fun with it. As a matter of fact you are to "blame" for me starting my own...and trying to use some of the good examples you have pointed out. Photos, photos, photos. I have started to learn about my Nikon, how to move the pics from the camera to the blog page...my, I am becoming worldly!

Keep up the great work, sista!
