I do put photos on my blog but not too many because I think the ones I take are boring... :)) Usually my dogs or flowers in bloom outside in my yard. I need to get better about taking my camera with me everywhere in case there is a photo moment. I love seeing pictures of other people's kids, families, pets, lives. I'm such a people person and photos of their surrounding just brings them to life to me.....

And no 30 photos of cobbler or any other dessert is never too many. :))

Oh, Ree. You just made my stomach hit the floor. My site's current design requires me to upload the photos to its media manager and won't show correctly if I use an outside photo manager (just in the posts). I plan to switch the design soon, and am worried about those photos. Reading this made me realize I've got to set a weekend aside and get them outta there!

Use all three photo hosting sites you listed, by the way (tee hee).

We lost a lot of pictures when we moved from Bundlo (awesome, but over now!) to Blogger...and until I read your class just now, I hadn't really thought hey, we're freakin' doing it AGAIN.

Hmm. So, now I think I'll take the extra step (who am I kidding, I'll have my husband do it) and upload to Flickr first.

Whoopsie. Thanks for helping me see the error of my ways! :)

I just started a blog... taking notes... (and coming from an artist, no, you can never have too many photos.)

Thank Ree. Great article. I have been following your site for a few months now and I am glad you are doing this series. And no 30 pictures of a cobbler is defintely not too many. Spoken from a person who can take 30 photos of her cat staring at a bird outside the window. I mean really ... at any SECOND something is bound to happen, right?

I never considered the fact that I would lose all my photos when I finally go self-hosted. I use wordpress, but I suspect it will be the same as blogger. Bummer. Thanks for the tip. I've gotta say that it made me completely depressed, but I'll get over it...I think. I don't know if I'll have the patience to go back and re-insert a year's worth of photos.

I just realized I didn't answer your questions...I upload my photos from my camera to my computer in folders. Then, I browse from my blog host site adn upload photos from that site. I just bought a new Canon this week and I noticed it takes alot longer for this process with the new camera.
I like to see all sorts of photos on blogs, but especially the landscape, scenery types, and flowers. But I am learning alot from your site. No, I don't think 30 photos of cobbler is too many. I think you need a photo for each step you do in the baking process. I am a visual learner. Love it all!! Thank you. I now know how much time it takes to post and I had no idea before.
