Ok ~ so i'm a netbook newbie ~ there! i said it! But i'm trying it out thanks to this campaign ~ well, it's more like i've been dying to try it, and this was the kick in the butt i needed to actually give it a shot. As most NOTCOTters know, i'm a laptop addict, constantly on the go, get me wifi, and my macbook pro and i will be posting away... First step to understanding the use cases and the world of netbookers... hands on unboxing of the adorably tiny little Asus eeePC 901 ~ with its tiny (although surprisingly not so tiny feeling) 9" screen, it's been quite amusing.
So for those as new as me to this world, here's a little tower of digital treats to give you a feel for the scale ~ thats a 15" macbook pro on the bottom... a and two sony's sandwiching a dell... then there's the adorably light eeePC topped off with my google phone. Anyhow, take a peek below to see the unboxing and some physical details that have caught my eye so far!

Had the Eee PC Surf 2gb, and loved it, Linux and SSD are the future. I am anti Microsoft. Just ordered my Eee PC 901 can't wait to get it.
I've had the first eee - 701 for about a year now. Took it on a three week trip to Japan earlier this year, and also use it for hiking often with USB GPS. Works great and has taken a beating. Also got a super cheap battery so I have 3 hours with the regular battery and 5-6 with the larger one. Love it.

i just got my first eee yesterday as well! i love it, and i totally say "eeeeeee" every time i look at it cause it is just so dang cute. it's super small, but it isn't hard to get used to with typing and whatnot. i didn't realize that the white one had a white cord, that's kind of a fun little addition. yay eee!

Last August, i had a design exhibition in Sydney. And my work is a bag for eee pc.
Guess what?people got attracted with the eee pc more than with my bag.
Well, at least they like eee pc. They could be my costumer in the future :)
