What would you think if your notebook could become a gaming notebook when docked, and when undocked, it would then become a mobile device with a long battery life? How might you use a product like this? Aggressive GPU could also be built into docking st

.
The one problem is that would be VERY expensive
Yeh thats good but when im gaming i dont want to use a doking module i want the free to move around and get comfy with my notebook. But that still sounds great!!
Well,
I would use it when it's docked for crysis and when its undocked i would surely for work and contact
"Nice idea hope they make it"!!!! :D
I would use the product for business and pleasure
Great Idea - I'd love it and buy it.
Great that most of the weight would be left behind - at home - in the dock.
Mobile - if its got access to all my things, either in the cloud or on a memory stick - and I could use it like a live messenger and phone - with long battery life would be great.
If this works great, I would love this.
I could have the gaming dock at home and plug it in for some home entertainment or things, but if it becomes a mobile lightweight device without the dock, that's versatility alright. Quite what I'd be looking for.
I occasionally go away from home and I do wish I could take my games with me, since a docking station is probably a lot more portable then a desktop, it will still come in handy.
However as the others have mentioned, there is still the question of how well it would work when it comes to the software - switching between graphics processors or CPUs is not a simple task - as it is, OSes require users to reformat and reinstall when swapping CPUs.
Also as Snoozebutton says, I would only go with this if the price is not extravagant and the docking station is bundled with the notebook.
Like Da1computerDude said, if its compatible with all OS and all coming OS (maybe its possible if the whole proccess of adding that GPU or CPU power to the notebook would be based on the hardware) it would be really gret. but then, this docking station had to come with the notebook and not seperated, because I wouldnt buy it then.
It seems great ! But, how to be sure there will be no problem of compatibility with the next windows... or linux ?!
hm i would love it
when home i could have a super fast and aggressive computer and then when out i have a long lasting notebook seems like a great idea to me, but i wouldt like the down grade everytime i left home?
The issue would likely be the graphics card. By changing from a high performance card to a standard work mode, huge power savings could result. I'd love a computer I could charge once a day or less.
