Consider the following features for your docking station and their importance; better graphics, more USB ports, and more hard drive space when docked. What else would you add to improve its usefulness and practicality?

.
maybe a DVD drive and a burner for if the notebook dosent have one?
sata ports, firewire ports
The docking station should also be a stand-alone desktop PC which would, in part, be a clone of the notebook. The docking station would also be a multimedia centre linking to large screen display, and sound system.
It would be nice if the docking station had an open architecture that allowed scope for expansion and upgrading as new hardware is developed.
Instead of better graphics, I would prefere better CPU performance and a port with which you can connect to other docking stations. Like LAN just faster.
Better graphics seems awesome. The problem with a hard drive in the dock is that you have to transport the dock to have all the HDD and you can't connect it to any computer you want.
better graphics i would love to have a laptop with the same quality in that of a destop
Better graphics is important for a lot of us! We all like to game and design pictures, etc. Improved graphics is awesome! The ability to add more USB ports is crazily cool. Often, I find myself struggling to get my usb hub to work. I plug in two hard drives and a mouse. When I plug in my webcam, it notifies me that my usb hub is not available for any more devices. More hard drive space would be the biggest pro for a dock. I would try to improve performance when docked. Somehow, but that can happen. I have no idea how to make that happen, but it is possible.
The better graphics are the most importamt to me. The extra hard drive is very important to me also, when other people play my laptop, they take up space that i need. and more USB ports is good, although I have enought as it is.
I would like it the docking station vastly improves the cooling on my system. Those third party laptop fans do a very poor job at extra heat management and I would prefer something a bit better for the job. If I am docked and using my system, chances are I am going to be there for a while, generating large amounts of heat.
I'd say all of the above are important for me. Especially the better graphics card, since a lot of PCs come with Intel graphics cards.
