How important is it to have a docking station for your notebook? (not that important, somewhat important, neutral, very important)

Somewhat important, for some people laptops are there only computers which is understandable an in that case i would want to have a docking station but still i wouldn't require one. i think laptops at this point are changing too rapidly to want to spend the money on a docking station.

I think a modular dock would be useful. For example, create a blank, template dock and allow the user to select which ports they want to add to their existing machine, via the dock. This would be flexible, and allow the user more control over the dock's functionality. Ports could be bought and sold as modular units.

From my point of view, this isn't important at all. I am living without one and everything is great. Maybe an optionnal dock that would add optionnal ports to my computer would be nice but i would like to have the mains ports directly on my computer without having to use a dock (CD/DVD, USB, VGA, HDMI, SD Card reader, ...)

Somewhat important - I dont plan to dock my laptop very soon. I like it how it is right now, on my dresser. Also, it does not hold the ability to be sat on a dock. If I had a dockable laptop, I would buy one. More ports.

This is very important for me. Although I have a totally maxed out laptop, people who have lighter, travel notebooks (not gamers) need some extra GPU power at their desk.

For anyone who want to watch a 1080p movie or game from their laptop onto their TV, this is a total must.
