What are some of the extreme conditions your notebook has been through? What features would you expect to see to prevent damages from these types of accidents?

I suppose the rough and tough of the laptop case banging around the place and all. or even a few drops.

Well, Obviously, no body is perfect, so a notebook has to be able to withstand a lot of extremes. For example, making sure a notebook can withstand the heat and cold of being left in the car. Or maybe a few crumbs, or a few drops of soda. Plus much durability for when the laptop is dropped

Sorry for the double post, but i would put a thin sheat of metal on the inside of the casing to make it strong and durable when dropped or banged. It would have to be a strong but light material.

coffee spills. especially on the keyboard. i say put a plastic sheet underneath the keyboard wound so tighly around the keys it simply is waterproof.

I would say rubber shock absorbers on all of the major parts in case of shock or drop damage.

I'm a little more careful with my lappy than most. Never dropped it, never split any form of liquid on it. But I would like to see some sort of
-crack resistant screen, secure keys, drop sensors that protect data, and a tough structure.
-Easy disassembly for cleaning out any liquids and dust that happen to get in there.
-And some form of water proofing.

I have dropped my computers many times, and most of the time I end up cracking the screen, or breaking a part of the keyboard. A new, tougher computer would be a good idea!

i have spilled water on my computer before i think it should be water-proof,and someone drew on my computer as a prank i think they should be easy to get rid of stains, computers get really hot when iam playing games i think they should be water-cooled, once someone ripped off my keys and rearranged them i think the keys should be soldered or atleast be easier to not rip off but still press, once i dropped my laptop and it cracked very easily i think computers should have harder housing cases made out aluminu.Yes thats all i want.

my little brother massacred it with his crayon set, ive sat on it(forcefully), ive dropped it down stairs, yadda yadda. i think that laptops should have heavy duty aluminum casing--for safety. yeah, it would be a little heavy, but it would be safe! also it should be waterproof, that way if your little brother uses it as his notebook, you can wash it off.
