If you have kids, what security issues would be most important to them (if any)?

My main concern would be #1 keeping the predators away! #2 blocking adult content. #3 keeping the computer safe (ex. Virus's, Spyware, Etc) ....

So first of all, some kind of filtering system would be a must to keep them off of sites they should be on, and sites where predators lurch. This program would also handle my #2 concern as well. Then for a good anti virus i would probably go with Eset Smart Security 4 or their latest version. I have had very good luck with Eset and i don't plan on changing until a problem arises.

definitely a cyber nanny and virus protection and secuirty so they cant watch stuff they shouldnt watch and no viruses can get downloaded. but you dont want to restric them to just an educational site.

well you can do most of the stuff that is listed below rite throw parental control on a window's computer. but what would be nice is to be able to rec your childes screen so if anything happens you can watch it by date and time .and your chilled would not be able to delete it.

well if my child would be to have there own computer the main issues i would consider are ,sexual content pop ups (maybe a pop up blocker),anti-virus soft-where stop identity theft and also maybe only making them guest on the computer to stop them playing with the security settings and changing something you have setup(have a admin account setup with a password so only the parent can change these settings)

if i have kids when i am older,
the security options i would like for their laptops or desktops would be anti sex, drugs, spy ware, and disturbing content, etc.

Sexual content, Popup's...people who they can contact without our knowledge. I say there should be a feature that monitors your kids accounts that you specify that not only limits internet, also the time they can be on the computer and what they do and say in text messages and emails...almost the same as a controlled keylogger.

Most obviously sexual content. I would certainly agree for parents to block sites by genre, such as sex, drugs, and disturbing content.

Here are Some of my ideas
a anti-virus/anti-spyware that way the kid wont get Hacked/Hijacked. Also an admin account to control there kids account. If the Kid is a gamer I would have a game rater to identify if the game they have installed is appropriate for them.
I would Have a Key logger so If they Manage to get around the blocked site's Via Proxy I would see that they are on them sites

WELL I DON'T HAVE KIDS YET BUT IF I WERE ID DEFINITELY GET A PORN BLOCKER YOU KNOW LIKE A CYBER NANNY. THAT WOULD TAKE CARE OF THAT AND PROBABLY NO CHAT ROOMS FOR THE KIDS EITHER I MEAN HOW OLD OF KIDS ARE WE TALKING ABOUT. I WOULDN'T WANT MY KID TO MEET SOME STRANGE GUY ON THE INTERNET. IF THAT WERE TO HAPPEN I DON'T KNOW HOW I COULD LIVE WITH MYSELF. OH YEAH AND NOTHING THAT WOULD SCARE THEM LIKE VIDEOS SO ID GET THEM A THING THAT RATES THINGS PARENTAL CONTROLS.
