I would not want the touch screen notebook to look like the Ipad , the Ipad is a nice design but not accessible to arthritis users . the Ipad has no mount and no display screen it has both in one which might be hard to use for some people

Touch screen keyboards will be an outstanding breakthrough in computer technology , with a press of a button you could change the keyboard to a different language , which is helpful to all nations and people learning how to speak/learn a language

If i was thinking of marketing them i'd definitely aim them at hospitals. I'm thinking a kind of iPad looking device with a screen protector (plastic film kind of thing)that is easily removed and replaced, market it as stopping the spread of germs etc. Also anybody that works with clip boards eg. door to door reps, estate agents etc. it would be a lot easier to handle then a laptop also no more stacks of paper ! anything taken down could be synced with the office pc, an estate agent would have notes on the house right there in their hands ! its perfect in a multitude of situations

they would be most usefull to me because i like to no wat im doing and its better thant pushing buttuns

I would say for offices with an interactive spreadsheet or something but really at home you cuold have a phoo software.

i think that a touch screen should be used for gaming and fun with a little buisness because with gaming touch interface can ring a whole new level of enjoyment such as trowing a ball or picking up a dog but in buisness i dont see how it helps to have a touch screen

(multi) touch screens are a new technology that have to be adapted. for example - most of the new mobile applications adapt the multi touch screen for some innovative tricks they use to make the user experience easier for new users :)

it would be useful to me on all 3 fronts. at skl(work) i am a maths a-level student and i would use the touch interface and stylus as work book and pen for easy/safe storage of my work so i can refer bck at a later time like for revision. at home useful for jotting down brief notes tht i would need to remember - shopping lists, to do list etc. and for play, it would open up a new relm of gaming interface, eg with multi-touch interfaces - the 2 fingered zoom and the new 3 fingered axises tilt - you could chage a character's pespective or even enter a new 3-d gaming world of puzzles like a digital rubix cube. :)
