Which of the following features do you think would help you most to solve battery life problems? (Quick charge? Back up battery? Ability to purchase extended batteries?)

Well a back up battery would be usefull, but it would even be better if it was built in,so it's pretty much just an extension.

I think having a back up battery would be the most useful because you can continue from where you left off if you switch the battery fast enough and you wouldn't have to start all over the way you would have to if you had quick charge.

@ PyroZero,
Your idea of the fan charging the battery is a very neat idea. Almost like how a alternator charges are car battery while it is running. I'm not sure all the needed parts would be able to fit in a decent size notebook, but to just explore that idea would be a really cool experiment....

But back to topic, i would think if the manufacture threw in a extra battery with the laptop, then users would generally be happy because most people use their laptop for portability , so to just swap out a battery and go for another 2 hours would be very nice. Most people don't need to sit on battery power for more then 4 hours anyway, and if they do, they are probably plugged in to AC power.

A custom battery specifically made FOR the notebook with several selves and automatic/manual screen brightness control, being able to sense when you could use the brightness, and then when you dont.

All of them, but batterys arn't cheap so people couldnt exactly buy them again. if it could come with an extra battery then thats good. but if i had to pick one, it would be the quick charge.

I think what would solve the battery problems is solar energy & wind.

In hence, Having the fan charge the battery by going around, it must cause some kind of energy that can be harnessed.

2:using less power consuming parts & displays.

3: Make the outside case be solar panels...or a solar absorbing case that can turn heat & light into energy.
