Are there computer accessories and peripherals that you can’t you live without? Are there ways you would integrate these into your notebook to improve its portability or make it more hassle-free?

external harddrive and headset
Good webcam, mic and speakers.
also on the laptop their should be a volume up and a volume down button.
a good mic and speakers if a key feature for me.
I think i would like it to be handy though notebooks are handy they require more space so i prefer ipod though it may seem am i crazy or what comparing an notebook with ipod but no with some software updates and modification it can be more usefull than a notebook
I think every laptop should have a amazing keypad like the Macbooks. Out of every laptop I have ever tried Apple's touchpad is the best. The material they use is just so...tangible. My mom has an HP. and the touchpad is all sticky and silver. Not good. The intuitive touchpad features such as double-fingered scrolling is also really nice and convenient. There's nothing more I hate then a sticky and weird touchpad.
I would HIGHLY recommend, and I mean HIGHLY recommend that every computer company take this into account.
That's my two-cents.

Large screen, maximum processing power and easy access is the prime key factors for next generation mobile computing. Large screen doesn't mean that the physical layout of the screen must be large, perhaps projection can solve a lot of screen size problem. Maximum power is not much of a problem but every brute horsepower is costly. Easy access is quite tricky, but with matured touch screen technology, it is achievable. However, regarding communications, there are too many standards out there and is quite a headach as developers are not willing to compromise with each other to come up with a one and only solution for everyone to follow.
Notebooks should have Bluetooth, communication functions, shortcut keys (such as for media playback).
Things that I would love to see integrated into a laptop though would be superb quality speakers, since from my experience most notebooks sound 'tinny'. Bringing along stereo speakers isn't exactly bag-friendly.
A part from that I don't really need much else from my notebook.
There are so much elements that i need on a daily basis: bluetooth (pair with my phone), wireless, lan, webcam and mic (speak with VoIP and skype), USB, rapid keys, remote for presentation. All of those little things make my daily life better !
I woud like ASUS to put a great keyboard and a sensitive mosu into a notebook.
The new notebook should also have very loud speakers.
Also, it should have a built in memory card reader.
