This is my ideal netbook as what I dream of is to be able to have a very practical laptop computer I can carry in my inside sport coat.

In the meantime, you may want to look into a simple, free folder sync utility to help keep your machines "synched". You could set up a rule in something like SyncBack that syncs directories (or drives) and automate the whole process.
I would have to agree with everything that you said. I am an Architecture major and I find myself going between my studio and my room often. I generally work in my room for my renders and drawings, however when I am at studio I usually am doing touch ups to my drawings while I build my models. For me the biggest gripe I have is keeping all the files the same between computers.Being able to remove the notebook hard drive would be an excellent idea, if I can connect it to my desktop.
