TVs differ quite a bit when it comes to size and specifications, so there is plenty to consider here. Whether you’re looking for a large 80-inch TV or a more modest 43-inch screen, here’s what you should consider.
- As we say, size is a big aspect of buying a TV. Make sure you know what TV size you prefer, while checking dimensions to ensure it will fit within the space you have.
- Panel type is another thing to consider. Do you want a premium OLED or mini-LED TV, or are you happy sticking to the more budget LED options. There are other options out there too like Samsung’s QLED.
- Price is an obvious one. We recommended checking out Amazon price tracking websites to help you understand the average cost any TV that takes your interest. That way, you can see if the deal’s price drop is really all it seems to be.
- If you’re looking for a new TV, especially for gaming, the specs are important. A 4K resolution is the standard on any modern TV and this is something you should definitely have at least. For gamers though, a smoother 120Hz refresh rate is ideal. 8K TVs offer an even higher-resolution alternative too.

How long will Amazon Prime Day TV deals last?
Prime Day will be live on October 10-11 this year, making it the second Prime Day event in 2024 in what Amazon are calling their Prime Big Deal Days. Ultimately, Prime Day is a short window into making a decent saving on some of the market’s top products, though discounts can show up early or even linger for a short while after the event.
As a heads-up though, stock can be limited, so actually snapping up one of these bargains may be easier said than done. If you want to try and save on one of the best gaming TVs in this year’s event, I would suggest getting up early and purchasing as soon as you can. There were a bunch of TVs in previous years that sold out incredibly quickly.
