Laptop with multiple power ports
Posted in notebook | January 28, 2010 7pmI've had problems a lot of times when the place where you plug in the power cord for my laptop is on the opposite side of the power outlet (my power port is on the side)
I thought it would be a good idea to have a power port on both sides, and maybe even the back. -

Laptop with headset-monitor
Posted in notebook | November 19, 2009 10pmThe technology for this laptop exists, it just has never been put together in a package before (at least to the best of my knowledge)
The body is the same as a normal laptop's body... it has a keyboard, Touch-pad, and contains all the hardware... but instead of a monitor, it has a headset with a built-in monitor to take it's place. It would be attached too the computer, so you don't loose it, and could be stored in a box at the back end. Also, it would have an adjustable hinge to fit perfectly to your face... think of it as a pair of goggles that has a monitor in it.
It would be considerable lighter than normal laptops, and it also would be a lot smaller than normal (which would even give room for some expansion to make it more affordable).
And to protect the keyboard when not in use, it could have a retractable cloth that works sort of like those pull-down curtains. -

PowerBox
Posted in notebook | November 19, 2009 9pmThe idea is to have a standard notebook/netbook, and have that be basically your standard computer... but also have it come with a Box the size of a normal desktop that you can sit by the laptop at your home desk, and be able to hook the laptop up to the box.
What the box does is it has a standard desktop motherboard in it, and all of the hardware (Graphics card, CPU, etc), and give extra power to your notebook.
Only problem I can see is driver compatibility, although I'm sure it wouldn't be to difficult to design software to switch hardware. -

Laptop with a built-in printer
Posted in notebook | November 19, 2009 8pmThe idea is to have two slits on the body of the laptop, one on the right, one on the left, each big enough for one sheet of paper, and when you want to print something, you can feed a sheet of paper into the slot on the left, and it comes out on the right ready to go!
And to solve the problem of ink storage, it could have a single black cartridge with enough ink for 4 or 5 prints, but also have an add-on that you can carry with you that has color ink and extra black ink.
