NETBOOK PC : IDEA
Slim Powerline
Posted in netbook | January 20, 2009 5pmThe idea behind this design is to use mid-range parts at minimal, creating a well rounded netbook.
Taking advantage of multiple touch sensitive technologies and entry-level performance CPUs will create the ultimate netbook for all comsumers.
Summary:
Minimal of 1.5GHz Dual-core 64-bit
GeForce 7600 GPU or higher
Swiveling screen supporting both capacitive and resistive technology
Optional Bluetooth mouse and detachable keyboard
Optical trackpad for optimal response in minimal size.
0.3mp Camera or better
A powerful consumer line of netbooks, equipped with entry-level 64-bit dual-core processors at a minimum of 1.5GHz and integrated GPUs with an NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 at minimal.
The device would have a minimal keyset on the keyboard and a relatively small screen supporting both capacitive and resistive abilities.
The resistive layer would be used mainly for pen and pressure confirmation, while the capacitive features would be used primarily for gestures.
Each device would come with a silicon-tipped conductive pen, in which the capacitive layer will be responsive.
The keyboard will be detachable and contain a small single cell Lithium polymer battery than will recharge whenever the keyboard is docked. When detached, the keyboard will activate via Bluetooth.
All will have an optional accessory for a bluetooth mouse, if the manufacturer desires, the keyboard can be provided wired but have an optional wireless replacement.
Aside the keyboard will be an optical trackpad for mouse control, this allows for minimal size, but high precision.
Each device will contain a 0.3mp or higher camera in the top of the screen. Premium models will come bundled with software allowing videoconferencing and chat on local networks for business and college consumers.
