A notebook PC with software controlled touch screen lower panel, environment controlled backlight intensity (for both, screen and panel)and technology that can allow developers to create custom touch panel configuration for their software.

The idea is to allow different applications to have a custom designed input, or transform the touch panel into a regular querty keyboard + pad when needed. Pressure sensitivity would be even better! For example, you could use the touch panel as a drawing board, a MIDI controller, a gaming device (custom made for your game) or any other input device, which will show the buttons, knobs, pads or whatever other control is used by the application.

You can twist and fold the touch panel in order to use it as a Pen Tablet device, making it easier to carry-and-use, for all those applications where you need to take field notes, polls, etc.

There's currently a developing technology that allows multiple point touch control to handle image applications, and other technologies that allow contact controlled transference, which means if you place your cell phone, music player or camera over the panel and provide inter-device communications.
