Upgradable laptop, really upgradable

I love laptops - their shear capabilities contained within such compact frames, the fact they can be transported easily is a bonus too. What I don't like about them is that you can't upgrade anything but the memory, and even then only that's limited to a degree. I'd like to see laptops where you can swap the components like you can in a PC - the graphics cards, the sound card, even the CPU, so that gaming PC's at can last more than a few years and can keep up with the newer and demanding games when they are released. Or if you can't upgrade the actual innards of the laptops, perhaps additional peripherals that enhance their performance, like external graphics cards or an external processor that you plug into dedicated slots that then add their hardward abilities to what already exists. More adaptability and longevity is what I'd like to see!
