It is the simplest idea: a laptop which doesnt have screen - it just produces 3-dimensional holograms. A notebook for games and multimedia. How? I don't know. Let ASUS and Intel say!

The main feature of the laptop I'd really like is a display which has the option to receive signal from the computer wirelessly (it will be able to receive and show image from other wireless devices as well – for example GPS, mobile phones, DVD players, etc.). You can use it separately as a touchscreen with its own low capacity battery (up to 1 hour). The touch function will be automatically enabled when it is disconnected from the main body and disabled when it is connected back to it. The automatic rotation of the picture is one of the features of this separable screen. Some additional shortcut keys might be added on it for better functionality when it is in “single” mode. A stylus might be a useful gadget.
All this can be very useful when you want to read an e-book or to draw something with the stylus. You can also separate the screen when you don’t have enough space or possibility to sit down and put your laptop on your knees – you just hold the screen in your hands and use it the way you use your touch screen mobile phone while the main body stays in the case and only emits the signal.
It will be really useful when you switch the GPS of your 12” display laptop. You get in the car, switch the GPS, disconnect the screen and put it on the car holder on the board.
You may watch videos or stream TV right from your mobile phone through Bluetooth connection. You also may look through your phone made pictures directly on the screen without uploading them on the laptop.
Of course, there will be an option to stop the connection between the screen and the laptop even when they are not separated.
As to the software, the user should have the option to select between different profiles which give him an opportunity to set the functionality of the desktop. Those who prefer the media functions will set the media profile. Those who mostly use the office will set the office desktop. The internet addicted users will set their profile, and so on.
The aim of all these changes is the user to obtain maximum flexibility using the shortcut buttons because everyone of the profiles affects the function of these buttons.
