About Me

I'm 14, and have been using computers since I was about 6. I started blogging when I was 10, but didn't get my blog quite right, at the right host and the right topic for another two years, where I ended up at wordpress.com, at the blog: http://www.myipc.wordpress.com.

I've been commenting under the name zachdude1094, and just recently remembered I had an account here, so whenever you see a post by zachdude1094, it's actually me. I really like this website, it's a great place to share and learn about other people's ideas, with a very receptive community.

I love playing sports, soccer, football and basketball the most. Another sport I do is not a physical sport, it's a sport for the mind, it's FLL, or First Lego League, which is a robotics competition. We build a robot our of lego's, and program it with a programing language called Robolab. We also have to do a research project on a topic, and present our findings to a panel of judges. If you would like to know more about it send me an email, I'm sure my email address is on here somewhere, or go over to firstlegolegue.org. If you're a teacher I would recomend that you do a program like this, maybe after the FCAT, in the small amount of time that a teacher can teach a subject they would like to.

I would grade myself as a Power User because, even though I'm not very old, I've had a lot of expierence with computers. I'm a pretty good programmer in XHTML, CSS and Robolab. I'm learning Python, and am planning to learn at least two more in the near future, Java and JavaScript. Even though I do use Windows XP, I have tried a few different Linux distros, Ubtunu, Knoppix, Fedora, and one or two more that we're memorable enough for me to remember. I've been blogging for about 4 years, across many of the most popular web hosting services, such as LiveJournal, Freewebs, Blogspot, Freehostia, and my current provider, WordPress.

I haven't posted any of my own ideas yet, I've been posting all around here, talking about a lot of different ideas, and plan to make my own idea soon.

    NOTEBOOK PC : IDEA

    triScreen

This laptop would be a normal laptop, except for one feature: it would have three screens. When you open the laptop, you would be able to fold out two additional screens, to add good a pretty amount of screen space.

    NOTEBOOK PC : IDEA

    triBook

This computer is taking the name of a fictitious idea by the editors of Mac|life called the triBook, but for different reasons.

My laptop would have three screens. The lid would have a normal screen on the bottom side (no touch screen), and on the top side would be a touch screen like a tablet, which could either be set to be turned off, to save battery life, or to show an exact replica of your screen. This would be great for during meetings, or for showing off your skills as a gamer. By default whenever the lid is open the backside of the lid would be turned off, and the other two screens would be on. When the lid is closed, you would be able to switch on a switch to turn on reverse side of the lid. Where the keyboard on the computer is now, there would be another touch screen, that would be customizable. The primary function of this third screen would be a touchscreen keyboard, but it could be changed to display other features as well. There would be small indents where the keys on the digital keyboard are, so that there would be a better typing experience. Small enough as to not hinder reading/viewing experience, but large enough to feel. Having this touch-screen keyboard would allow for you to be able to change the layout of the keyboard, if you wanted to, and to put small apps into this area, so as to not take away from screen area. Small apps for gaming, or other small apps like a CPU monitor and along with some other apps. You would be able to turn this computer 90 degrees to be able to see it's screen and read it like a book.
Unfortunately this would be very taxing on battery life, so when it was in mobile mode (running off of batteries) the back lid would be off, and the keyboard would default to a very low-power consuming mode, so that you would be able to maximize battery life.
