This is a crazy idea, but I've always loved the turnable computer screens, and then I though, why not make the screen completely independent from the main part of the computer, just connect them wirelessly and make a smart "click-system" that enables one to quickly detach the two from each other. The screen has to be tough, much like apples' I-Phone, therefore a safireglass screen with aluminum/magnesium/carbon fiber casing. The screen also has to be High Diffinition or at least very good quality, like picture perfect. Whatever technology is best will be used; OLED, PLASMA, LED ect. The computer itself has to be powerfull enough to handle advanced picture- and 3D-programs. The computer has to have a tv-tuner, tv-out and tv,in, so that I can walk around with just the screen and watch movies and stuff without the weight and heat of the main part of the computer, as an anoying factor. The computer has to be secure, therefore I want a fingerprint reader on the main part and a webcam with face-recognition or iris scanner on the screen. Because of the many hightech features there will be a large energyconsumption, therefore I want one or more built-in energy generators, these will provide power from: Movement, Typing, Heat and sunlight. All of this technology will be quit heavy, but most of the weight will be in the main part of the computer, therefore the screen itself will be very light and easy to carry around.
Check out Pixie Blox. It goes a step further, Just make the two units two computers, there is no keyboard, use the touch screen as a keyboard for one
and the screen as the display of the other. Or you can flip the roles around
it's the same unit.
You can use it anywhere, 3G for networking, GPS for localization, and solar panel to charge the battery. Ambient light sensor to automatically set optimal screen brightness.
And you can use old hardware with the serial port. And you have 8 USB ports, 2 Firewire ports, HDMI Port, E-Sata port, fingerprint reader, TV tuner and a MemoryStick Pro card reader.)
I would really like to see a pc that is close to future proof. While this idea may be impossible having t replace a laptop every 2-5 years can get quite expensive. I would like to see one that is ea...
Using all open-source hardware and software, this PC would be able to run any OS - really, ANY. It would have open-source drivers for all of its devices and only use devices from companies which provi...
Talk about $50,000...
Saphire, OLED, wireless LCD, sterling motors, capacitive charging, light panels!?
Maybe Steve Jobs or Bill Gates would buy it, I don't think anyone else could afford.
Don't have components connected wirelessly. There is too much health risk radiation. Have all components in one unit, rather.
Haha, a bit futuristic with the recharging system. But I like the idea!
