A gaming laptop that sheds the performance weight

Dream PC Description

A simple idea: you can leave half the heavy "performance" pieces of your laptop behind.

This is a marriage of slim notebook plus a gaming docking station. When you're on the go the notebook has underpowered battery-efficient video with no cd-rom drive, etc just a solid state drive and wifi. When you dock, you have twin video cards and all kinds of awesomeness. If you want to carry it all with you, it has a handle on the base.

Best of both worlds: desktop replacement, extreme performance, good battery life and size on the go.

I like this. I always sold people who like gaming on the go on a high end notebook with 17" screen designed for gaming, but with this you get the best of both worlds, and I can see the price as being on par with a high end gaming notebook, but you get the added benefit of an ultra portable as well.

You know, that's actually a really cool idea. Might not be possible right now, but I'm sure that in a few years at the most, someone will figure out how to do something like this.

IF it could be pulled off it would be great. You probably would have to shut down the computer completely before you docked it though.
