Cartridge PC
Dream PC Description
A kind of barebone with fully modular mother board inside: Just like a GameBoy, you could slip off the cartridge, and unscrew your motherboard from it, allowing you to change all your components, just like on a desktop PC, in order to get the same modularity.Sure, every specs will depend on how much you spend on your computer components

I think this is a ridiculous idea. What happens if ur "fully modular" mobo only accepts ddr3 ram, then ddr4 ram comes out and virtually drives ddr3 from existence? same with the 775 chipset from intel. What if you had that then u wanted to install a corei7 cpu? the component and their connections change wayyy to quickly for this to really be viable.
Thats exactly what i meant through this concept! I'm pleased to see people sharing my opinion.
This is a great idea to improve the ability to make upgrades to a laptop. Who knows, after having a laptop for 2 years you could call in to the manufacturer and just order a new mobo/cpu/gpu attachment and plug it into your old monitor/keyboard and only pay half the price instead of buying a whole new laptop.
There would have to be some kind of lock to prevent people from just jacking your carts, but it is a good idea.
