PC Idea Description

Pro-ject PC will be special in that it will have a PicoProjector mounted behind the top of the screen. It will be possible to use the projector in two ways:

1. As a screen enlarger so that certain kind of screen content (like video) can be made more immersive and fun.

2. As a second display option (like a second monitor). Imagine working on an office report. You could have your word processor on the projector and a reference document on your laptop screen or vice versa. Also, say for example you are a programmer working on a piece of code. You could have the IDE projected and a language/component documentation page on your screen. Or, say for example you are an avid user of chat clients, or social networking sites. You could have the IM client on your laptop screen while having Youtube videos being projected simultaneouly on a screen. Image the social networking and video sharing possibilities this can have.

There it is, my idea for a useful component that can go into laptops or netbooks. Please vote!

Vinnie

A pico-projector is almost the size of a cell phone camera. So, I don't think the laptop will be bulky. However, you're right: it will definitely be a tad bit expensive than the common laptops we see today.

That idea is great! But a real quality projector is about 3.500 $ aint it? And to get a quality projector in a laptop is not gonna be easy i recon.

Wow this idea is awesome. It may make it a tad expensive but it would become essential for business use.

This is a great idea. The small projector in the back would have to produce a quality picture, or else it wouldn't even be worth it. DO WANT!

This looks vaguely familiar. Has it not been done before maybe?

I'm sure this would get abused by people on planes, but I want one anyways!
