Can I Run Assassin's Creed Valhalla On My Computer?

See below for a list of both the minimum and the recommended requirements for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on the PC. Unlike a lot of publishers, Ubisoft have been kind enough to spell out what hardware you will need at different settings to output a specific FPS when running the game, rather than the generic “minimum” and “recommended” requirements. This gives a more detailed picture of what you’ll need to run the game at a level of performance that is acceptable for you. In our experience however, publishers do tend to understate the performance requirements, so we would take these with a pinch of salt and assume a bit more oomph is needed at each level.

We would generally say that you want to be aiming for around 60 FPS whichever graphics settings and resolution you end up playing at. 30 FPS, although technically playable, won’t be a great experience for most people. Interestingly Ubisoft have only supplied a recommendation for 30 FPS at 4K resolution. We would definitely recommend aiming for 60 FPS performance at 4K with a more powerful rig. See links to our buyer’s guides at the bottom for an indication.

If you’re unsure as to exactly what components are inside your computer, you can follow our guide here for working out what your PC’s specifications are.

We’re currently working on a tool that can automatically evaluate your system’s capabilities to play any game to make this process a lot more convenient. We’ll be sure to update this post once it becomes available.

Game Details

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the twelfth major installment (actually the twenty-second release if you also include some of the spin-off games!) in the ever-popular and long-running Assassin’s Creed series. This time the action centres around a Viking raider named Eivor (who can be male or female depending on the player’s choice) who travels from Norway to the Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms of Britain to make a new life and take the fight once again to the Templar Order.

What Gaming PC Do We Recommend To Play Assassin's Creed Valhalla?

To get this game running to a decent standard on a 1080p screen, we’d recommend our $800 build as an entry point. If you intend to play on 1440p or on Ultra settings at 1080p then we also have mid-range build guides for $1,000 or $1,500.

If you’re not looking to build your own computer, then one of our prebuilt models for under $800 would run Assassin’s Creed Valhalla just fine at 1080p, though not on the highest settings. If you’re interested in playing the game at 1440p or at 1080p on Ultra settings, check out our prebuilt guides for under $1,000.

If you want to run Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on a 4K, without compromising on framerate and other settings, we’d recommend a high-end build in the $2,000 price range as an entry point, or above.
