Desperados 3 is available on a myriad of platforms, including consoles, and below you will find the minimum and recommended system requirements as supplied by the developer for running the game on PC, MAC OSX and Linux.
As a general rule we encourage people to take any requirements given by a publisher with a pinch of salt, and assume slightly more power is needed. That being said Desperados 3 is not an especially demanding game.
Desperados 3 tends to be more CPU dependent than most other games, so if you do experience any bottlenecking of performance, your processor may be the likely cause. Take a gander at our buyer’s guides at the bottom of this page for an indication of what PC builds we suggest to get the game running.

Desperados 3 is the most recent installment of the Desperados series, which is itself heavily inspired by the classic Commandos series developed by Pyro Studios, though this time in a Wild West setting.
Like those old gems, the player takes control of a crack team with their own special abilities and can use a mix of stealth and outright combat to defeat the enemies on the map and complete their objectives. At its heart the game is a puzzle/real time strategy game, with some rootin-tootin action thrown in, a decent overarching story to tie each mission together, a Western soundtrack and visual aesthetic, and a fair bit of knowing humor sprinkled throughout.
To play Desperados 3 at 1080p on low settings one of our $400 or $500 builds will do the job. If however, you want to pump up the graphical settings and/or resolution though then we’d suggest a $1,000 build or thereabouts.
If you don’t fancy putting together your own computer, then one of our prebuilt models for under $500 most definitely run Desperados 3 on lower settings at 1080p resolution. For higher resolutions and settings, the $1,000 pre-built PC will get you there.
