Can I Run Fable On My Computer?

Though we don’t know much about Fable at this point, but we know that it will be available Xbox Series-X & S consoles (but definitely not on PlayStation) and on Windows PC.

We do not yet know the minimum or recommended system requirements, however, we have listed below the best estimates until official information is released, which should give you a good idea of what to expect. These are likely to change somewhat closer to the game’s release, however.

If you don’t know the specs of your current PC, see our how to look up your PC specifications page and compare these against the below system requirements. At the foot of the page we also suggest a few different builds if it turns out you need an upgrade.

Fable Game Details

  • Release Date : TBC (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X & S, Microsoft Windows)
  • System Requirements : Medium-High
  • Genre : RPG / Action Adventure
  • Developer : Playground Games
  • Publisher : Microsoft

Although the title of the upcoming game is just going to be ‘Fable’ it is the 4th game in the series, and though being worked on by a new development team they have promised to retain all the humor and quirkiness that made Fable great. The game will once again be an RPG with the same heavy focus on freedom of choice, but expect a wider open world with more in-depth character creation and the ability to build your own towns which will influence the world and the story.

Plot-wise early leaks indicate that the land of Albion from earlier games has been destroyed by a meteor, and players will have to use time travel in order to go back and save it – how true this turns out to be we’ll have to wait and see!

What Gaming PC Do We Recommend To Play Fable?

To run Fable on the lowest settings at 1080p, a $600 self-build PC is your best bet. If you’re cranking settings to the max though then a $1,500 build is what you’ll need, or a $2,000 build if you’re thinking of going to 1440p or 4K resolution.

If building a computer isn’t for you, then a pre-built gaming PC for under $800 should run Fable on low settings at 1080p. High graphical settings however will require something more like a $1,500 pre-build or a $2,000 pre-build for 1440p or 4K gaming.
