Can I Run Mass Effect Legendary Edition On My Computer?
The release of Mass Effect Legendary Edition has been much awaited by fans and its release is finally upon us! The trilogy of revamped games packaged in one will be available to play on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and on Windows PC. Although the older games are being given graphical improvements, these won’t be groundbreaking and the trilogy will still be based on the same engine as before, so the vast majority of machines should be able to run it. You can find a list of the minimum and recommended system requirements below.
If you don’t know the specifications of your PC, do have a look at our guide on how to look up your PC specifications to see if your current machine can run the game or if you will need an upgrade. At the foot of this page, we will also go over which PC builds we think would be best to play the game on, on both the highest and lowest settings.

The Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a revamp of the original Mass Effect trilogy, one which is primarily limited to graphical and textural improvements (still on Unreal Engine 3), although the first game is receiving more substantial changes to the gunplay and User Interface. The Legendary Edition of the trilogy will include virtually all the DLC which was originally purchased separately from the games.

What Gaming PC Do We Recommend To Play Mass Effect Legendary Edition?
To enable Mass Effect Legendary Edition to run on the lowest settings at 1080p resolution, we would suggest you look to one of our $600 self-build PCs. If you really want to crank up the resolution and graphics to the max though then a $1,000 self-build or higher is advisable.
If you really don’t want to put together your own computer and would prefer a pre-built option, then one of our under $800 PCs will run Mass Effect Legendary Edition on the lower settings at 1080p. However, for the higher settings and resolutions, you’d be better going with something as powerful as our $1,000 pre-built PC.
