MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is the first traditional single-player MechWarrior game (excluding strategy titles) since 2002. Released in 2019 on the PC, it is releasing on 27th May 2021 for Xbox One and the newer gen Xbox Series X/S. Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries is a return to the first-person perspective, battle mech simulator format that made the series famous. Set before the Clan invasions in the BattleTech universe, players take control of the leader of a mercenary company and can salvage, upgrade, and purchase new mechs and hire new pilots to their ever-expanding roster as they stomp through destructable cities.
To get MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries playing on the lowest graphical presets at 1080p whilst managing a respectable FPS will need you to shell out for something like one of our $600 self-build PCs. If you want to turn the settings to the max though, or play on resolutions above 1080p, then a $1,500 build or above is recommended.
