Nier Automata was released on PC back in March 2017 however the PC port had many performance issues and bugs, most of which have since been patched by modders. In May 2021 independent modder GPUnity also released his own texture pack to improve the sharpness of the visuals, so now is the perfect time to dive in and play the game if you haven’t already!

Nier Automata is a sequel to the game Nier. The game is an Action RPG in which players take control of three androids as they fight against sentient machines which form part of a dystopia in an apocalyptic landscape.
To play Nier Automata on the lower graphical settings at 1080p, we’d advise going with one of our $600 self-builds or similar. If you want to play the game on the highest settings and resolutions however, then a $700 build or above would be your best bet.
If you don’t fancy building your own PC then one of our under $800 pre-builds should do to play Nier Automata on low settings at 1080p resolution. For the highest graphical presets and resolutions though, you’ll need to go with our $1,000 pre-built PC or something of comparable power.
