In this title, it is Anton Castille (played by renowned actor Giancarlo Esposito) who has become the president of Yara, a Cuban-like island with a miracle drug Viviro that can treat cancer. He’s promised stability with the production of this drug on the island but to achieve that he starts a lottery to conscript workers to work on the tobacco fields. With the national defense rounding up the population Dani, the main character you play as tries to escape to the USA but after that attempt goes awry they join forces with the local revolutionary group to try and rise up and overthrow the dictatorship.
The reception of the game has been mixed, with a Metacritic score of 74/100, with others being similar or lower the game can be a hit or miss, but if you enjoyed the previous iterations or explosive, innovative games then this one is for you. With much more customizability, vehicles, weapons, and armor there is a lot to it. There is plenty of gameplay with masses of side missions, and what seems to be a hundred customization options to unlock. As well as the array of minigames around if you get bored of blowing up the FND bases around the islands, there’s Tekken chicken if you enjoy some brawling or just a game of dominoes and with Co-op available you don’t have to play this game alone.
