It is a strong and capable card still, based on the AD106-350 processor it features 8GB of GDDR6 memory with a bandwidth of 288GB/s. Based on the Ada architecture it features 4,352 CUDA cores and 34 RT cores that perform well in plenty of use cases, while only having a TGP rating of up to 160W.

Is the RTX 4060 Ti worth it over the RTX 4070 Ti?

Looking at the comparison between the RTX 4060 Ti vs RTX 4070 Ti we can see what kind of performance you can expect, as well as it might be worth you saving a few hundred dollars depending on your use case.

The RTX 4070 Ti has a lot more direct firepower with over 3,000 more CUDA cores it can easily achieve much higher performance with the raw computational power. It also doubles the ray tracing capability of what it can achieve. They do achieve similar core clocks although some custom cards may offer overclocked models anyway to alter the factory option.

That does come at a cost though, for the higher memory and bandwidth you do also have a higher TGP and MSRP. With a 125W higher consumption and double the asking price, it is rather a lot considering if you’re after a more budget GPU option.
