READ NOW: Is the Samsung S95B worth it?
The Samsung S95B is the first TV to feature Samsung’s proprietary QD-OLED (Quantum Dot Organic LED) technology – resulting in a fantastic visual experience.
The technology, which has only just been implemented in the latest Samsung displays, is an attempt to solve some of the issues that plague generic OLED panels.
As you may be aware, OLED (organic LED) displays do suffer from limited brightness. This results in poor viewing conditions in extremely bright rooms – a factor that LG and others have been trying to solve.
Samsung feels they have resolved this issue by merging the best qualities of OLED and Quantum DOT.
We haven’t managed to test the TV just yet, however, first impressions seem incredibly positive towards this display.
