The Resident Evil 4 Remake is filled with weapons for you to track down and try out. You can obtain everything from handguns to high-powered rifles. When you are in need of some crowd control, nothing is better than a shotgun. These powerful weapons can easily stun and kill multiple enemies at once, making them great for dealing with large numbers of enemies foes. There are multiple shotguns in the game for you to try out and a DLC shotgun if you happened to have bought the deluxe edition. Here are all the shotguns you can find in the Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Every shotgun available in the Resident Evil 4 Remake
A shotgun should always be your go-to when you are dealing with large crowds or enemies with a lot of health. While they don’t have the best accuracy, a blast from a shotgun can hit multiple foes at once. This will often lead to enemies getting stunned and blasted backward, giving you an opening to escape or attack further without fear of retaliation. Shotguns are great for boss fights and should only be brought out when the need arises.
There are four shotguns in total that you can find throughout the game. One, unfortunately, is only available if you bought the deluxe edition of the game.
Skull Shaker
The Skull Shaker is a powerful shotgun that rivals the power of the first one you get in the game. With a good rate of fire and decent reload speed, you should definitely give this one a chance. To obtain the Skull Shaker, you need to have bought the deluxe edition of the game. If you did, you can find the Skull Shaker, along with the other DLC weapon, in the typewriter storage.
W-870
This 12-gauge shotgun is a great starting weapon but ultimately falls short later on in the game. You can get your hands on this weapon shortly after reaching the village by going into the house with the staircase. The shotgun is sitting on a wall rack waiting for you to pick it up. While this gun is powerful, it doesn’t have the reload speed or rate of fire that the Skull Shaker has.

Riot Gun
The Riot Gun is one of the highest damaging guns in the game, making it a must-have for anyone who wants to rush through the game with a high-powered weapon at their side. The downside to this gun is its slow rate of fire and its bad reload speed. If you can get around those negatives, it is worthy of taking on just about any foe. The Riot Gun becomes available at the merchant later on in the game.
Striker
You can also purchase the Striker from the merchant later in the game and it is well-worth the price. This shotgun has a high rate of fire and massive magazine that allows you to blast through large groups of enemies with ease. The lower precision of the weapon allows for a greater pellet spread so you can hit more foes. There is no doubt that this weapon is one of the best. Of course, every good agent needs a handgun as their primary weapon and there are plenty in the game as well.
