The game is said to be a Resident Evil 2 Remake style re-telling of one of the first survival horror games.
Let’s break down everything we know about the game so far.
How do we know about the Alone in the Dark Remake?

Our first glimpse at Alone in the Dark Remake came from several directions at once. Initially, a listing appeared on Belgian retail site Smartoys, but has since been removed.
In the wake of the leak being discovered, well-known horror leaker AestheticGamer confirmed that the leak was authentic. They even shared some screenshots of early development.
AestheticGamer also said that the game will be “more properly announced later today,” probably referencing the THQ Nordic showcase happening this afternoon.
What is Alone in the Dark Remake?

If you’ve never heard of the original game, Alone in the Dark was one of the earliest survival horror titles. It was the inspiration behind Resident Evil in the first place, and now things are coming full circle for the series.
This new remake will be taking a cue from Resident Evil 2 Remake, focusing more on gritty, realistic horror and over-the-shoulder combat.
We learned from the THQ Nordic 2022 Digital Showcase that the game indeed features Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood as two optionally playable characters. We also know it will feature re-imaginings of some of the series’ most iconic monsters.
