Animal Crossing: New Horizons has seen a fair few updates since its launch in 2020 and each of these has introduced new items, weather changes, new characters, and more, hooking players back in time and time again. Now, almost in its second year, there’s a whole new Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update that brings with it some old faces and locations as well as a number of other features.
One such feature that a lot of players have found to be a fantastic addition is the ability to go first-person in-game. This has enabled you Villagers to not only take a look around your homes, allowing you to see all of your knick-knacks in all their glory, it also allows you to experience all of the fantastic creatures you’ve donated to the Museum.
But, how do you unlock first-person mode in the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons update? Well, sadly, you can’t just click your fingers and it be there, you’re going to have to jump through a couple of hoops to do so.
Let’s run through all you need to know about unlocking said first-person mode.
How to unlock first-person in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
So, to get a hold of first-person functionality, you’re going to need to purchase a specific item.
Head to the Nook Miles machine located in the Town Hall. There you will be able to open up the ‘Redeem Nook Miles’ section and find the ‘Pro Camera App’. This is the item that you’ll need to pick up in order to open up first-person. The Pro Camera App is available for 1,500 Nook Miles which is a little pricey but if you do your daily activities on the island you should have enough in no time.
How to enter first-person mode in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Now you’ve got the Pro Camera App, how do you enter first-person mode? Well, simply open up your in-game phone using ZL and hit the – (minus) button on your Joy-Con. This will take you into first-person mode and you can happily walk around and experience your island to its fullest.
