The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the direct sequel to Breath of the Wild. As such, the game shares many of the same mechanics as its predecessor. One of the best parts of BotW was picking up different armor sets.

When you start up Tears of the Kingdom, Link will be in the Champion’s Tunic but it won’t be long before you have more armor sets to choose from.

You will first get your hands on the Archaic Armor set from the Great Sky Island which includes the Archaic Tunic and the Archaic Legwear. Later on, you will get the Archaic Warm Greaves to help increase your cold resistance.
Once you have completed the tutorial area, you will start to unlock even more armor sets. There are plenty of different armor sets for you to choose from. Some of them will be found in chests inside caves while others will be dropped by enemies.
One of the best ways to get sets of armor early on in the game is to use your Amiibo. Some Amiibo figures will grant you items like armor, swords, shields, and even skins.

Armor can offer many benefits in Tears of the Kingdom. For starters, most armor sets will either help with heat or cold resistance. Other armor sets will increase your stealth or swim speed. Some items like the climbing gear will increase your climb speed.

Additional armor sets can be obtained by plunging the depths of the map, searching through caves, and defeating strong enemies. Some sets are given to you as part of the main quest and others are handed to you as part of side quests.
