With the launch of Battlefield 2042 just around the corner, fans on all platforms are about to be treated to the open beta. The beta starts on the 6th of October for those that pre-ordered the game and the 8th of October for the rest of us. The beta will last until the 9th of October and features Conquest!

Did you know you can now preload the Battlefield 2042 beta on console and PC platforms? That’s right, the download is available on all major digital game stores and we are going to show you how to preload, so you don’t miss a minute of action when it goes live.

How to preload Battlefield 2042 beta

You can now preload the Battlefield 2042 open beta across all available platforms. In this section, we will show you how to preload the game on Origin, Epic Games Store, Steam, Microsoft Store, and PS Store.

Sign in to your Origin client, head to ‘Store’, search for ‘Battlefield 2042’, and click ‘Try It First

A pop-up message will then prompt you to ‘Add to Game Library‘, click this and the game will now appear in your library ready to download.

To preload, click ‘Download’ and you are finished in preparation for the event!

Preload Battlefield 2042 beta on Epic Games Store

Sign in to your Epic Games account via the website or client and then search for ‘Battlefield 2042‘ in the store.

Scroll down to the pre-purchase options and you will see the Battlefield 2402 open beta, click ‘Join Now

You will enter a Checkout but don’t worry, it is completely free, so just click ‘Place Order‘, agree with Epic’s terms, and the game will now appear in your library. (At the time of writing this, Battlefield 2042 is unavailable to preload)

Preload Battlefield 2042 beta on Steam

Log in to Steam via the client or website and then search for ‘Battlefield 2042’ in the store.

Next, scroll down to the bottom of the pre-purchase options and you will see ‘Join the Battlefield 2042 Open Beta now!

Click ‘Request Access‘ and a pop-up message will appear asking ‘Click below to confirm your request to join. You’ll receive an email when the developer is ready for more participants‘.

Click ‘Request Access‘ again and a second pop-up message will appear saying ‘Access Granted‘. Click ‘OK‘ and then you will see ‘Play Now’, Click this and the open beta will start to preload onto your computer.

Preload Battlefield 2042 beta on PlayStation

On your PlayStation, head to the PS Store and search for ‘Battlefield 2402‘ and select the game.

Now, head down to the demo section, select the ‘Battlefield 2042 Open Beta‘, and then select ‘Download‘.

On your Xbox, head to the Microsoft Store and search for ‘Battlefield beta‘ and then select the ‘Free Open Beta‘.

Next, select ‘GET‘ and the game will begin to download.
