Best Hogwarts Legacy broom

So, what exactly is the best Hogwarts Legacy broom right now? It’s still early on in the life of this exciting new title, so there’s still much to learn. Of course, unlocking the Flying Class is the milestone you need in order to start using the broom. Then it will become your main mode of transport to navigate the world as a Wizard.

We’d say right now it comes down to preference – it seems to imply some brooms have better handling, and others have higher speed, though there seems to be little-to-no noticeable difference so far. The most expensive brooms from a vendor are the Silver Arrow Broom and Sky Scythe Broom, both costing 5000 galleons each.

You can also upgrade your broom through side quests. The ‘Flight Test’ side quest increases your broom’s acceleration and speed to ‘Broom Upgrade I’. The ‘Sweeping the Competition’ side quest levels that up to ‘Broom Upgrade II’. This is the best way to improve your broom in Hogwarts Legacy and actually notice the difference.

Where to find brooms in Hogwarts Legacy

Brooms can be unlocked through various challenges, though a good chunk of them are simply available from a vendor. Once you’ve completed the sixteenth main story quest ‘Flying Class’, which is where you learn how to ride a broom, you’re free to unlock brooms. A vendor is probably the easiest way to pick up a new broom if you don’t mind coughing up some cash.

We’d say that completing challenges are the best way though overall, as you’re being more efficient. Challenges such as popping balloons (for the Night Dancer, Lickety Swift, Wild Fire, and Bright Spark brooms) reward you with progress. Brooms don’t have attributes or values explicitly attached to them, instead opting for ‘speedy broom’ or ‘stylish broom’, so you’ll have to see if you notice any difference – if any.

Best broom to buy first in Hogwarts Legacy

After you’ve completed the Flying Class quest, which is the sixteenth main quest in Hogwarts Legacy, you can go ahead and buy your first broom. Spintwitches Sporting Needs in Hogsmeade is a good place to head to if you want your very first broom. The shop only opens once you’ve completed your first flying class.

Each broom from this vendor (Albie Weekes) costs 600 Galleons, commonly known as Gold. When it comes to picking out the best broom from this bunch, there’s not much need to worry. You can focus entirely on the aesthetic quality of these brooms as they only differ in cosmetic value. Upgrading your broom stats comes at a later time. The brooms you’ll find at this shop are as follows.

  • Ember Dash Broom
  • Hogwarts House Broom
  • Moon Trimmer Broom
  • Wind Wisp Broom
  • Yew Weaver Broom
