Which stance do you consider to be the best in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor? Do you prefer to use the crossguard stance or do you like to pull out a blaster while dueling like a scoundrel? There are five stances that you can unlock throughout your time playing Jedi Survivor, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. That being said, some stances are much better at attacking and defending Cal than others. If you want to be a good duelist, you will want to know which stances are the best. Here are the best stances in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

What is the best stance in Jedi: Survivor?

The best stance is the Blaster Stance because it covers a lot of ground. Using the blaster’s charge shot allows you to take down enemies from a distance, allowing you to recover. Back off and slash an enemy before knocking them back with your blaster, even though it’s not the most accurate at hitting enemies up close.

All stances in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

There are five stances that you will unlock as you progress through Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Each stance is better for certain types of combat. If you want range, Blaster Stance is better than the rest. If you want to parry with ease, you will want the Dual Stance. The following stances are obtainable in the game:

Jedi Survivor Meditation
  • Single – The starting stance in the game that uses a single lightsaber.
  • Double-bladed – The second starting stance in the game that uses a double-bladed lightsaber.
  • Dual Wield – Unlocked during the boss fight against the Ninth Sister. Uses two lightsabers during combat.
  • Crossguard – Unlocked on Koboh’s shattered moon later in the game. Uses a single lightsaber with a crossguard.
  • Blaster – Unlocked on the third planet, Jedha. Uses both a lightsaber and a blaster during combat.

You can only have two stances equipped at one time so make sure that you have ones equipped that are good for your play style and can help you get skill points for upgrades. You can change your stances at any workbench or Meditation Point in the game.

Every stance in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Ranked

Jedi Survivor Single Stance Combat

Each of the stances in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has a strength and a weakness. For instance, the Blaster Stance is great for those who want to keep at a range and perform hit ‘n’ run tactics. On the other hand, it is not great for up-close combat.

#5 – Single

By all means, none of the stances in Jedi Survivor are bad but some are less effective than others. Single blade is very basic and is good when facing off against single enemies. When dealing with crowds, which is most often the case, the stance falls a bit short. You start off with this stance and it can carry you through the game thanks to its versatility, but it won’t be extremely helpful when dealing with foes of all types.

#4 – Dual Wield

Dual Wielding is a great trick. Unlocked during the boss fight against the Ninth Sister, this stance is also good for one-on-one combat but can also handle crowds of enemies better than the single stance. Part of what makes this stance a little better is that it hits hard and has an auto-parry which is great for those struggling to get the timing down.

#3 – Crossguard

Think of the Crossguard Stance as pulling out a greatsword in any other action RPG. This stance deals a lot of damage and is by far better at throwing off an enemy’s guard than any of the other stances. The problem is that this stance is difficult to use if you aren’t used to slow, timed attacks. You need to be careful when you swing your lightsaber with this stance cause swinging too early will cause you to miss and swinging too late with get you killed.

#2 Double-Bladed

The Double-Bladed Stance is the best of all the stances when it comes to crowd control. Most of the time, you will be dealing with groups of enemies so it is best to have a stance that can easily deal with them. Because of this, you will typically have the Double-Bladed Stance at the ready.

#1 Blaster

We consider the Blaster Stance the best because it covers a wide area of combat. If you need to range, you can use the blaster’s charge shot to pick off enemies from a distance, giving you time to recover. While it isn’t the strongest at hitting enemies up close, you can get some good slashes in before backing off and knocking an enemy back with your blaster. It definitely gives you a bit of the best of both worlds.
