Blightcaller Starting Build Explanation

The starting build for Blightcaller relies mostly on basic buffs to your Gun Damage and Elemental Damage.

In Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, you don’t need to worry about amazing synergies and top-tier gear until the end game.

We’ll focus on Tier 1 through Tier 3 skills. Any weapon you find will work with this build. Make sure to use elemental weapons instead of kinetic (non-elemental) guns.

Blightcaller specializes in using and buffing elemental damage to its advantage.

The passive skills we choose boost the damage of our active skill Plaguestorm.

Blightcaller Class Feat – Whisper of Rot

Applying a status effect stacks elemental damage for a duration. This ability can stack.

  • Max Stacks: 10
  • Stack Duration: 10 seconds
  • Elemental Damage: +2.5% per stack

This class feat amplifies all elemental damage sources from your character. It includes weapons, spells, skills, and more.

Blightcaller Action Skill – Plaguestorm

The Fatemaker summons a Plaguestorm at the target location, dealing Poison Status Effect Damage over time in an area.

Whenever the Fatemaker deals Non-Ability Damage a percentage of it is stored.

The Plaguestorm periodically creates Elemental Bolts targeting a random number of enemies underneath it.

It deals Ability Damage of a random Elemental Damage Type equal to the damage stored split among all targets, and clearing all stored damage. Elemental Bolts cannot apply Status Effects.

This is a great skill for the early game. Enemies in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands have more resistance variations than previously.

In addition to health, shield, and armor, there is also a white bar that’s weak to frost damage.

Virulence – 5 Points

Status Effect Application Chance is increased. Status Effect Duration is increased.

Every status effect you apply lasts longer. It helps your Plaguestorm do more damage, as well as your weapons and spells.

You gain a 30% chance and the duration of status effects also increases by 30%.

Wraithmail – 3 Points

This is a kill skill. Restores a percentage of your Ward (shield) when you kill an enemy.

It’s a decent survivability tool, but the most important part of this skill is its synergy with the next skill. It restores 21% of your Ward per kill. Yeah, that’s a lot.

Flawless Edge – 5 Points

Gain increased Damage Dealt based on how full your Ward is. The fuller your Ward, the greater the bonus.

This ability can give you up to a 30% damage bonus when your Ward is full. With Wraithmail, you can constantly regenerate your Word.

Bog Down – 1 Point

Dealing Non-Status Effect Poison Damage has a chance to create a Water Nova.

It soaks all nearby enemies. Soaked enemies take more damage from Lightning and Frost, but less damage from Fire.

This is an ability with a fairly short cooldown of 10 seconds. You also have a 10% chance to create that Nova.

Soaked enemies take 50% increased damage from frost and lightning elemental damage sources, but also 50% decreased damage from fire elemental damage.

You can play Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands right now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One X/S, and Xbox Series X/S.
