Dr DisRespect tried out Warzone 2 and pointed out an issue that rarely gets mentioned: the speed. Dr DisRespect was a level designer on Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, and so his opinion of the recent games sometimes comes from a developer’s point of view.

He said that Warzone 2’s biggest issue that gets overlooked is the speed of each animation and how long it takes to really do anything. He even brought up how much he spent on his PC to demonstrate that players have little control over the situation.

Warzone 2’s biggest issues according to Dr Disrespect

Dr DisRespect pointed out that he has spent $35,000 on his graphics card alone and so he shouldn’t be dealing with the lowered frame rate that he sees in the game. He says the animation is slow and the game lags in situations where it’s not the player’s fault.

He details it all in the following video:

He used his own $100,000 PC to demonstrate that players could spend the money for state-of-the-art and still have issues with the frame rate in Warzone 2. Dr DisRespect was pretty detailed in it. He showed him moving slowly as he described the movement of the game.

To quote him:

“I want everything to feel precision and fast; input fast. it just doesn’t feel like that man. It feels like I’m going through animation this, effects this—and the speed of the game and the speed of the design just feels completely off, all the way around, because of it.”

Essentially, it doesn’t feel like one fluid movement and animation doesn’t feel like it happens in a concise and fluid manner. It feels like one thing after the other in blocks. If you’ve ever aimed down your scope, you know it does take a moment for the animation to complete and for you to aim.

He pointed out these as the things Call of Duty Warzone 2 needs to fix:

  • Climb Speed should be 15% to 20% faster
  • Stop making players mantle instead of jumping over barriers
  • Strafing should not take priority over jumping.
  • There’s way too much recoil for Snipers
  • Headshots with a sniper should kill enemies
  • All around sluggish game.
