COD Vanguard weapons – Every item, type, and unlock level

Are you excited yet? Course you are. But if you want to have a peek at the kinds of artillery you will be using in Call of Duty: Vanguard, we have a definitive list right here for you to get stuck into.

With 20 maps, as much multiplayer as you can handle, oh and don’t forget the zombies while you are at it you are going to need some decent firepower to climb to the top of the tree.

With nearly 40 weapons in the game, we better get started.

COD Vanguard weapon types

In Vanguard you can add up to 10 attachments to weapons, making gunplay extremely diverse, and easily the most exciting prospective battles to date.

Not all unlock levels for all guns have been released yet, so bear with us until we can tell you. It won’t be long. Promise.

Assault Rifles

COD Vanguard will feature seven base assault rifles. These are.

• STG44
• BAR – Unlock at level 18.
• ITRA Burst – Unlock at level 10.
• NZ-41 – Unlock at level 24.
• Volk – Unlock at level 30.
• Fedorov Avtomat
• AS44

Submachine guns

We love a good submachine gun (in a game at least) and Vanguard provides us with six of the high-output monster weapons.

• MP40 – Unlock at level 16.
• Sten – Unlock at level 8.
• M1928
• PPSH-41
• Owen Gun
• Type 100

LMGs (Light machine guns)

A staple of every good war game, there are four LMGs in Call of Duty Vanguard as of release.

• Type 11
• DP27 – Unlock at level 12.
• MG42
• Bren – Unlock at level 20.

Shotguns

There’s nothing quite as satisfying as taking down an enemy with a shotgun. Here are the four you will get to play with shortly.

• Revolving Shotgun
• Combat Shotgun
• Gracey Auto – Unlock at level 20.
• Double Barrel

Sniper Rifles/marksman rifles

If you prefer to pick off an enemy from afar rather than getting in close and dirty, there are three sniper rifles and three marksman rifles waiting for you in Vanguard.

• 3-Line Rifle
• Kar98k – Unlock at level 26.
• Type 99
• M1 Garand
• Gewerh-43
• SVT-40

Handguns

Probably the least used weapons by many, but there a plenty of times a decent handgun has saved our bacon when ammo is running low. We have five to play with this time around.

• M1911 – Unlock at level 22.
• RATT – Unlock at level 14.
• Webley Revolver
• Machine Pistol
• P.08 Luger

Launchers

For those times when bullets won’t do and you need to make a bigger bang. There are four different launchers to pick up and use.

• Panzerschreck
• M1 Bazooka – Unlock at level 21.
• Panzerfaust – Unlock at level 28.
• MKT1 Launcher

Melee

Similar to the handgun, the underused melee weapon is restricted to just two in Vanguard.

• Combat Knife
• FS Fighting Knife – Unlock at level 22.
