In an exciting development for Call of Duty enthusiasts, data miners have recently uncovered information of a night mode of Al Mazrah in Modern Warfare 2. The discoveries include potential mentions of Rebirth Island and a night-time version of Al Mazrah, stirring up speculation in the community.

While Activision or Infinity Ward hasn’t confirmed the authenticity of this news, the community has wanted a night mode for Al Mazrah for a while. We are also unsure if this is for Call of Duty Mobile or for MW2.

Night-time map Al Mazrah MW2

First tweeted by Modern Warzone, the data miners found a reference to a night-time version of Al Mazrah in the Modern Warfare 2 files. Adding a night-time version of the map is smart. It makes adds a whole new element to the fighting because it’s harder to see enemies and to distinguish friend from foe.

Interestingly, this recent discovery aligns with an image leak that emerged on Reddit approximately four months ago. The leaked image showcased what appeared to be a night-time version of Al Mazrah, shown below.

While leaks should always be approached with caution, their existence alongside the dataminers’ findings normally lead somewhere, but they’re not always correct. We could see another reference to these later.

Rebirth island returning to Warzone?

The data miners also discovered references to Rebirth Island in the MW2 files. Ths may mean it is returning to the main Warzone game, or it may just be going into Warzone Mobile.

Either way, seeing it in the files is a great thing. Rebirth Island is a well-liked map that was added back when Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War brought Warzone to great heights.

It’s important to note that at this point, these discoveries remain unconfirmed by the game developers. Activision and Infinity Ward have yet to make official statements regarding Rebirth Island or night-time Al Mazrah.
