Dead Island 2’s map size is going to be on every player’s minds as they progress through the story. A concern may be just how big can this game be or if it is going to be big enough to deliver on the promise of LA? We know it’s not a truly open-world game, but rest assured, there is a lot to do in the zombie-infested streets of LA.

So, just how big is the Dead Island 2 map? Dead Island 2 isn’t like the original because the map isn’t fully open, in this case you unlock different areas of the city for you to explore fully. These regions are very open, with plenty to do, however you want be able to walk between them. You’ll need to fast travel or walk to the entrance point of the map if you want to pay them a visit.

How many regions in Dead Island 2? 

In total there are 10 different areas of Dead Island 2, all varying in size. Here is the complete list of the Dead Island 2 regions:

2. Bevelry Hills
3. Brentwood Sewer
4. Halperin Hotel
5. Hollywood Boulevard
6. Monarch Studios
7. Ocean Avenue
8. The Metro
9. The Pier
10. Venice Beach

These areas will be able to be explored during the day or at night, they also all vary in size. Areas such as The Metro and Hollywood Boulevard are considerably smaller than Venice Beach for example, so you’ll soon find everything there is to collect there.

What’s the biggest area in Dead Island 2? 

It is hard to say exactly what is the largest region in Dead Island 2, but Venice beach has the most activities in it to do. There are by far the most points of interest here, as well as having plenty of missions and side missions.
