Here are the best warlock builds in Destiny 2, this also includes the best PvP and PvE builds so you have no issue in approaching a variety of enemies in Destiny 2.

Warlocks in Destiny 2 are seen as the class to use the most abilities in Destiny 2. If you want to live up to this idea of the class, then you need a proper build to enable you to spam to your heart’s content.

There are a few good builds out there to help you reach the peak of ability spam but only one build ranks above them as the best warlock build. Let’s go over what the best Warlock build is in Destiny 2 and what you need for it.

Best Warlock Build in Destiny 2

Here is what Fragments and Aspects you will need for this Warlock Build:

  • Aspects
    • Icarus Dash
    • Touch of Flame
  • Fragments
    • Ember of Resolve
    • Ember of Signeing
    • Ember of Char
    • Ember of Blistering

You will also need access to Empowering Rift and the Fusion Grenade for this build to fully work. The whole point of this build is to stand in your empowering rift of Well of Radiance and throw grenades. This is what makes Warlock one of the strongest classes at the moment.

Destiny 2 Warlock Build Perks

Thanks to Touch of Flame, all of your fusion grenades will explode twice. Which helps to spread around scorch and ignite multiple enemies so you are making use of most of your fragments.

Which Abilities To Run With This Build For PvP and PvE Warlock Builds

Solar Warlock has plenty of abilities and supers to choose from but only a few of them will truly make this build shine.

  • Super

The best Warlock super in the game right now is hands down Well of Radiance, which is what you should run. Not only does it provide a powerful buff to you and your teammates, but it also counts as empowered weapon damage to help recharge your grenade.

  • Class Ability

While most Warlocks will normally run healing rifts in order to have that on-demand healing for themselves. You will want to run Empowering Rift with this build if you can manage.

Dealing weapon damage inside of an Empowering Rift is what regenerates your grenade energy so quickly. So you will have to get used to not having the healing rift to panic place when you are low. If you are worried about healing, you might want to try out the best Titan build right now which specializes in keeping you alive.

  • Jump Ability

The best Warlock glide in the game is the Burst Glide. The bonus speed you get from it not only helps you reach higher places than other glides but can also send you flying forward if combines with Heat Rises and Icarus Dash properly.

  • Melee Ability

Although the recent addition of Incinerator Snap took many builds by storm, Celestial Fire is still the better melee for this Warlock build. You will use your grenade for clearing out packs of enemies. So you will want to use your melee for tweaking tougher targets which is what Celestial Fire is better for.

  • Grenade Ability

For your grenade, you will want to run the Fusion Grenade. While this might not be the strongest grenade out there, it is the only grenade that works with the exotic you will be wearing.

Which Armor Mods To Use For PvP and PvE Warlock Builds

For your stat-increasing mods, you will want to focus on Recovery and Discipline. While Recovery is one of the better stats to run on Hunter, it is even better on Warlock since it helps with the class ability cooldown as well as the healing bonus.

Discipline is nice to run as it will lower your grenade cooldown to help you get it back if you mess up any part of the build.

  • Helmet Mods

For your helmet mods, you will want to run Ashes To Assets, Heavy Ammo Finder, and Solar Siphon. Ashes to Assets will allow your grenade kills to give you increased super energy. As you will be spamming grenades with this build, you will be able to recharge your Well of Radiance very quickly.

The Heavy Ammo Finder mod increases the chance for heavy ammo to drop on kill, you can increase the odds even further if you get kills with an exotic weapon. Finally, Solar Siphon will give any solar weapon you get kills with the chance to make an Orb of Power, this synergizes quite well with some of the best PvE weapons out there right now.

  • Arm Mods

There are plenty of arm mods out there but the ones you should be running are Firepower, Momentum Transfer, and Font of Vigor. Firepower will allow your grenade kills to generate Orbs of Power which when picked up will allow Font of Vigor to increase your Strength stat for 10 seconds.

Pair that with Momentum Transfer, which gives you back melee energy when you deal grenade damage, and you can almost always have your melee up on top of your grenade and rift spam.

  • Chest Mods

Running as many copies of Charged Up as possible is what you will want to do with your chest armor. This allows you to increase your max stacks of armor charge up to five max stacks. This allows all of your Font mods to be active for at least 50 seconds without needing to pick up any more orbs.

  • Leg Mods

Stacks on Stacks is always a solid option to put on your legs as it gives you two armor charge stacks per Orb you pick up. You can also run Recuperation to give you a bit of extra healing on Orb pickup since you don’t have your healing rift in this build.

  • Class Item Mods

For the class items, Time Dilation is key to have as this changes the 10 seconds that each Font mod is active for per stack up to 15 seconds per stack. This gives you a max time of 65 seconds for Font mods to be active at max armor charge.

Pair that with Reaper to make your next weapon kill after using your class ability to spawn an Orb of Power. Finally, you can run Outreach to give you melee ability energy each time you use your class ability, just so you will always have your melee ability ready to use.

Which Exotic Armor Should You Use?

The big point of this build is that it works with the Starfire Protocol Exotic chest armor. This armor piece gives you a second charge of fusion grenades, lets empowered weapon damage recharge your grenade quickly, and gives you class ability energy on grenade kills.

The cycle of this build is to throw a fusion grenade so you get a kill to recharge your rift. Then place your rift and shoot enemies from inside it to recharge your grenades. Finally, you can throw grenades inside or outside of your rift to get your class ability recharged and do it all over again.

This cycle will have you spamming abilities over and over on repeat. Depending on what weapon perks you have, you might be able to boost the damage your weapon does or at least reload it with each grenade throw.

Outside of this cycle, you can really do whatever else you want with the build. Putt on some mods to generate Orbs of Power is highly recommended. That way you can charge your Well of Radiance quickly and use it whenever you need.
