Bungie has introduced some wild and wonderful weapons in Destiny 2 that are not only seriously fun to play around with but are also deadly in their core. In The Witch Queen expansion, they’ve certainly turned up the bizarre to the max and one weapon that you simply cannot pass on – Parasite.

Below, we’ll run you through what you can expect from Parasite, how you can get it in your loadout, and everything we know about the catalyst so you can be as informed about this truly wacky weapon.

What is Parasite in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen?

We’ve hyped up how strange this weapon is and that’s for good reason. Parasite is a Hive Worm grenade launcher. Yes, you read that right, you get to fire Hive Worms at your enemies. Not only that, these Worms explode on impact, dealing incredible damage and according to the weapon’s description, will also have increasing damage modifiers.

Parasite is going to be fantastic in PvE activities, giving you the ability to clear out packs of foes with ease, and to add insult to injury for the Hive, you’re using their own ‘babies’ on them. Who doesn’t like a bit of sweet revenge, right?
