Diablo IV releases June 6, 2023 with all the blood and gore fans have been craving. Blizzard’s latest release in the Diablo series, the title includes new classes, new monsters, new abilities, and of course an entire campaign to embark on solo or together with friends. If you need some help getting through your next objective, and want to start a party, have no fear because we’re here to let you know how.

How to start a party in Diablo 4

Getting a party together is pretty simple. Obviously, you are going to need players to join your party, so once you’ve found others to join in your adventure, follow these steps:

  • Hover over a player with your mouse on PC or stand near them on console
  • Click the action wheel by hitting the E key or Up on the D-pad for consoles
  • Select Invite to Party

The player will then receive the invite, and decide whether they want to join in on your party. You can also chat to players to ask before sending an invite, too, if you want to be a bit more courteous.

There you have it. As long as the player accepts, you are now successfully partied up and ready to take on the open world of Sanctuary together. Under the Social tab you can also choose to leave a party if you’re ready to go back to questing on your own.

Parties are great for earning extra EXP, as being in a party gives bonuses for every task completed and monster slayed, so it’s never a bad idea to be in one. They’re also definitely useful for bosses that are hard to beat, as more players is better than one when it comes to damage.

Be aware that parties can only be up to four players, so you’re not going to be able to have a huge gathering like you would a clan. Parties tend to be short term as well, as players will leave once a mission is completed or an enemy is beaten. Try not to take it too hard.
