The biggest contention among the community of Diablo 4 players is what class beats the others. Really, the playstyle you’re going for will determine the best class for you. If you prefer spells, range, or close combat, you’ll have different classes to choose from.

There is a bit of contention, however, as a commenter put it “A lot of people on this sub live in a bubble.”

Also, some players immediately think of partying with others and have their set role: Tank, healer, archer, etc. So while it seems like a pretty subjective choice, players come with numbers and evidence. Some arguments based on real definitive gameplay are incredibly compelling.

Reddit recently blew up with an argument on which is the best class, and to be honest some of these justifications are pretty persuasive.

Best class in Diablo 4 according to the community

So what is the best class? That depends on who you ask, but this subreddit is all in on Necromancer, even though it is a very unpopular choice according to a Reddit post. In fact, some players took it as a sign that oblivious players didn’t know how to properly use Necromancer.

One highly upvoted comment said “Looks like I’ll be rolling a Necromancer” as if to say this confirmed that the least popular choice was the best one.

Someone responded, “This actually made me want to roll one as well. If anything at all, it’ll have my favorite cosmetics right next to rogue” which confirmed our hypothesis.

However, in came those who wanted to shush the storm of Necromancer players. “Necro’s lack of mobility, and questionable pet viability killed the class, along with general lack of good defensive abilities,” which is subjective, to be honest.

This was a druid player, but even though other class lovers were mostly silent, they still got hate.

For example, the well-loved Barbarian is known for its high-damage whirlwind in the beta, and that was the first thing attacked. “Theyll be buffing and nerfing stuff, especially barbarian lol. dont expect to be doing a billion damage with a barb whirlwind for long,” one commenter shot out.

You’re not safe barbarians, even Twitter knows that needs to be nerfed.

While the necromancer is fun and the Barbarian is honestly the most welcoming, we prefer Twisting Blade Rogues. Even if you’re not like us, the bow has potential to be unstoppable and no other class can wield it.
